Eric served in the Air Force for a number of years. In civilian life he was an Air Traffic Controller. He did marry but had no children. His wife was expecting twins but due to the loss of them the marriage broke up. Due to his marriage break up and the loss of his twins he also lost his job. Eric never got over the loss of his twins and his marriage break up and sadly suffered from depression. It was sad as his brother Jimmy was living near him and neither were aware that either one was living in the same area. They both lived alone and liked a drink. My sister Shirley tracked Eric down but unfortunately he had already passed away.
Every day and every night
when you feel the need to hold me tight,
Just blow a kiss into the sky
for I will be that close by.
In the heavens throughout the day
I watch over you and hear you pray.
I see you smile and shed a tear
for you know that I'm still near.
I am the angel of your eye
I am your angel in the sky.
A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...
One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side
Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.
